And shall cut him in two

The Lord Jesus spoke many things in parables, some things seem very harsh. For instance in Matt 24 He said that the evil servant will be cut in two. I was meditating on this passage this morning. Here it is. Mat 24:36  “Concerning that day and exact hour, […]

Your heart is NOT desperately wicked

Somewhere deep inside the Christian mind(not the mind of Christ)is the notion that our heart is desperately wicked–I want to tell you dear friend, brother or sister that is simply NOT TRUE!! Is that how you see yourself? I thought that too about myself. If you call your […]

the inferior came first

And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” Jesus of Nazareth This miracle Jesus and Father did together, we are told, is the […]

The way to please God

We know that without FAITH it is impossible to please God- Heb 11:6 Also that anything that is not from faith is sin. (Rom 14:23) Thus it is established that to please God we must walk in faith. If on the other hand we attempt to be pleasing […]

The Two Trees

There were two trees in the garden of Eden that presented a choice to our first parents. The tree of Life and the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God clearly spoke about NOT eating from the latter tree. Death would be the result of feeding […]

Yom Kippur approaches

Yom Kippur begins tonight at sundown 18th Sept. In the days between Rosh Hashana- Jewish new year and Yom Kippur- observant Jews spend time repenting of their sins. These days are known as the days of Awe. This introspection is meant to bring a sense of awe and […]

Don’t be entangled again

There has been a change of Covenant between God and man which is not based upon our ability to obey His laws but upon His promise. When we start being badgered into whether or not we are holy or whether or not we are being obedient to God […]

A rebuilt Temple does away with Jesus

I notice that Israelis are comparing Pres. Donald Trump with King Cyrus saying that Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem being the capital of the world is the same as Cyrus’ calling to restore Jerusalem. One such Israeli group has minted a silver coin to commemorate Trump’s declaration on Jerusalem which […]

Are you in the flesh?

I don’t know whether preachers still point at people and tell them they are “in the flesh”  these days as I have not set foot in a church service for over 7 years now. But back then and for a long time before that it was common to […]

Fall into the ground

We know that Jesus was/is the grain of wheat that fell into the ground. He died and was buried in the ground. When He was raised up, it was so that He would live all those who believe in Him into life. We have believed in Jesus–the One […]

Surrender to God? 2

Surrendering to God is a very prevalent idea amongst Christians. It can bring an exasperating feeling. When you think you have given up things for God’s sake and given away things as well, costly things, and still you hear a voice saying you need to surrender to God. […]

Surrender to God?

Over the years I have suffered many days and weeks..years in fact as I am sure many Christians have. The suffering I refer to is in the mind as a result of putting  self down when we fall or think we have failed in some way.  The world […]

Love’s Exchange

This post delves into the exchange God wrought when Jesus took you and me into Himself giving His own self story to us as our own self story if we are willing to receive it. Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, […]

Not under Law

So many Christian brethren are confused about whether we are under the law or not. The BIBLE is very clear about the answer. “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Rom 6:14 Immediately many readers will recognise […]

You are Adam no more

Listening to grace preachers has made me realise that they are leaving their sheep in Adam under a covering they call grace. They talk about God giving us grace that covers all our sin and shame and our past. The congregations sing these same ideas in worshipful ways […]

The New Self

One of the most amazing things that the Apostle Paul taught is the New Creation. When Jesus went into the garden of Gethsemane to drink the Father’s cup, Isaiah’s words were being fulfilled. Here is just a portion of Isaiah…the whole chapter is relevant. Isa 53:4 Surely He […]

We preach Christ crucified

The Apostle Paul preached Christ crucified. What does that mean? 1Co 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 1Co 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom […]

Be made ready

Exo 1:11 And they put over them slavemasters in order to afflict them with their burdens. Maybe it is a little presumptuous of me, but what is happening to me, I believe is prophetic of what is happening to many in God’s camp. The people of Israel had […]

You want me don’t you

The blind only see what they want to see The deaf only hear what they want to hear The hungry man eats but is not satisfied The wealthy never have enough Naked women rule the minds of millions But Money mocks God and says, “I am Queen!” Grasping […]

He saved others

This is just a quick little blog about the Life that we have in us. The Life that we have received is the Life of Jesus the Messiah. His Life is not something separate from Himself. He is The Life. If we have Jesus we have life, if […]

Confess crazy things

The same brother asked another question – here is it is and my response. Thank you Dennis, for your mail. I read it several times and experienced it as fresh water on dry soil. I think many of the Christians around me want to see a stronger interaction […]

Everything belongs to God

A wonderful brother from Europe asked a question of me back on the 6th May which I feel was done to stir our mutual faith up…Here is his question in italics and then my response. The past few months I begin to experience that I become older and […]

What am I really saying?

It may seem like some sort of new age teaching to many who read my writings. Such is the revolution in the revelation given to Paul the Apostle. The natural man does not receive the things of the spirit for they are spiritually discerned. When Christ Jesus came […]

Be You

Help someone else today not because you heard a voice say to do it, but because you want to do it. This is normal Christian living. Jesus comes to live in us and to be us in all we do. You decide whether to let your light shine, […]

The marvel of Grace

After making God’s case against sin and sinners in the first three chapters of Romans, Paul begins to explain the marvelous, wonderful truth of the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ and how it saves us. I myself am nothing and know nothing of these things other […]

You are not the old man

The Old man that you were before coming to Jesus lived under the Law of God. The Law stirs up sin and the result is condemnation and death. That is why the Old man was crucified in Christ. That Old man can never serve God in the new covenant. The difference is like night and day.

Stop trying to be holy

He did not make us righteous so that we would turn around and say, ‘Thanks Lord, I am righteous so now I am going to try really hard to stay righteous’. No! We are made righteous and holy so we can REST from all our self effort.

He Himself is our peace

We can make the simple choice to believe His word right here at this point. IN the midst of raging emotions and contrary circumstances you can simply stand on His promise stated clearly right here in Ephesians 2 and DECLARE OUT LOUD that I am brought near to God right now despite what my eyes, ears and emotions are telling me.

Let Jesus lift you up

For those who have felt the paralysing effect shame has upon the soul I offer this post. The son of Jonathan was Mephibosheth the grandson of King Saul who had tried for years to kill David. Mephibosheth means ‘Dispeller of Shame’. Not only does this boy’s name cover him […]
